    We are looking for a dynamic Web Developer to join us in Ottawa. The Web Team is responsible for developing the server side portions of the games that Fuel develops. Our games are typically built using Flash/Director/Torque/Unity communicating with web services which then communicate with a database as necessary to fulfill the project requirements. Web developers may support our flash team with services and occasionally game logic or may be responsible for implementing sites from concept to launch in some cases.

    We are looking for an experienced Flash Developer, who knows how to work within an MMO environment. The Flash Developer is responsible for developing new feature sets, maintaining and pushing the limits of SparkCity and AllGirlArcade. This Flash Developer will work together in a closely related team, sharing ideas and problem solving, often utilizing pair programming to accomplish goals. The Flash developer should have a solid core Flash Development background and have a basic understanding of web programming languages (PHP, HTML, Javascript).

    Fuel Server Developers are responsible for creating and supporting our MMO server technologies that are used in some of our largest titles, including All Girl Arcade's Spark City. Our developers are responsible for creating the glue that serves to bind our Flash applications together, providing services that encapsulate communication between clients, data access and storage, and game logic.

    We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our development into the Chicago and New York markets. The candidate will have a passion in the digital media space, with extensive contacts and is able to open doors with their creative selling.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Senior Client and Industry Relationships:
    • Owns senior client relationships (mid-size clients) or shares responsibility with VP, CP or CP (large-size clients) and works to contribute strategic value. Runs day-to-day operations of the accounts
    • Shares responsibility for 100% client retention by working with the leadership team to maintaining mid to senior level relationships allowing us to: proactively identify client risks or opportunities and managing client teams to effectively respond to these client needs
    • Works across multiple verticals, but has the ability to develop a broader industry network of clients and contacts
    • Acquire and develop long-term relationships with strategic clients
    • Build strong rapport, new and existing clients
    • Responsible for statement of work and change orders. Works with senior leadership on contracts in excess of $500K
    • Ability to qualify leads and close new business
    • Consistently cultivates a portfolio of new business efforts

    The Business Analyst role is a is an integral part of the Fuel team, the role offers the opportunity to influence and support the direction and decision-making for key components of Fuel's P&L, through in-depth problem solving, financial analysis, and financial modelling.

    The successful candidate will have excellent SQL-writing ability, and enjoy combining analytic skills with business acumen to provide our game studios with the data and insights that will drive our continued success. The Data Analyst works with key decision-makers on a daily basis as a data-driven advisor and partner on strategic issues. The candidate should enjoy both working with people and performing technical analyses.
