    We are currently looking to add a Traffic / Studio Manager to our Ottawa, ON team. The role of the Studio Manager is to provide a clear view of workloads across the whole company. The successful candidate will handle all aspects of Production resourcing/trafficking within a busy office environment and has worked in an agency doing a similar role.

    You will be responsible for allocating work, balancing workloads and ensuring adherence to agency processes, coordinating with department leads, the Project Management Team and the Client Services team. You will also manage freelance or overflow resource. You will not be responsible for the Project Management, just ensuring the staffing levels are in place.

    You will be involved in all aspects of the business from project briefs, risk assessments, setting milestones, assessing resourcing requirements through to sign-off and delivery. This will involve building trusted and respectful relationships across the company. All this while providing continuous up to date commentary and forecasts to all levels of the business.

    The team is responsible for developing the server side portions of the games that Fuel develops. The games are typically built using Flash/Director/Torque/Unity communicating with web services which then communicate with a database as necessary to fulfill the job requirements.

    We are looking for someone who is well versed in both Windows (ASP.NET, C#) and Linux (PHP) development environments. A better than basic understanding of the various OS platforms, web servers and networks is required as well.

    • Apart from programming skills, the candidate should be able to take a project from start to end through all the typical phases and perform problem solving as necessary. The candidate should be a self-starter who is highly motivated and inspired in their field.

    We are currently looking to add a Receptionist / Executive Assistant to our Ottawa, ON team.

    Reporting to the Director, People and Places, the successful candidate performs, coordinates and oversees executive assistant duties including the provision of varied and complex office duties. The executive assistant enhances key executives' effectiveness by providing information management support. The Executive Assistant provides highly sensitive and timely support to the CEO and CFO. He/she exercises independent judgment, critical thinking, and has a high level of skill in organizing and problem solving. Their maturity and professionalism allows them to intuitively anticipate CEO and CFO needs.

    You make the Web come to life. Static images, videos and audio come together and do things that haven't been done before in your hands. In other words, you're a bit of a wizard.

    You will:

    • Work as part of project teams to develop web based games, immersive websites and branded applications.
    • Develop creative solutions to technical challenges.
    • Maintain a sound knowledge of what is new and hot in Flash design and development, and provide this knowledge to the rest of the team.

    REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Bachelor of Science or equivalent.
    • Excellent understanding of ActionScript 3.0 and Object Oriented Programming.
    • Integrating with server-side technologies such as Flash Remoting, PHP, ASP, AMFPHP is also important.
    • Must be able to integrate all aspects of design, exporting and importing graphics, video and audio.
    • It is an asset to have knowledge of Adobe Flex, Adobe Media Server, AIR, Director/Lingo/Shockwave 3D, third party flash tools such as Zinc and mProjector, JSFL, and Flash Lite.

    Servicing Clients and Managing the Process

    Under the direction of the Director, Client Services helps develop and execute interactive programs or other marketing communications projects as required for Fuel’s Clients. This typically to include:

    • Overseeing the opening of job dockets.
    • Evaluation of program’s executional needs.
    • Preparation of production plans and timelines for program execution.
    • Sourcing, analysis and selection of any third-party suppliers.
    • Coordinating the quotation of call cost elements internal and external, and preparing initial program budgets and timelines.

    The Graphic Designer will work with various internal teams on a variety of design projects as and is responsible for taking am key role in the development of creative solutions for various initiatives that include, but is not limited to, event materials, customized graphics for customer deployments, and web materials (ie. web site and social marketing programs).

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Executes work on time and on budget to ensure that all projects are consistent with the corporate brand and identity.
    • Creates innovative artwork, layouts, and multimedia solutions for corporate marketing communications to high standards, paying attention to detail.
    • Provides a valuable source of creative problem solving and innovative ideas.
    • Manages the design phase of each project assigned, including the development and execution of design creative with an understanding towards an 'integrated' approach to marketing.
    • Evaluates relevant design software, processes, and digital publishing, multimedia, print production and project management software.
